In Vivo Fertilisation (IUI)
The method when fertilisation – fusion of the ovum and the sperm – occurs in a woman`s body, is called the intrauterine insemination (IUI). Intrauterine insemination is carried out during ovulation under the natural cycle or under stimulation of the cycle with drugs when specially prepared male sperm is injected into uterus with the help of thin catheter. The method is appealing as there is no necessity in surgery and anaesthesia. The procedure is simple and painless.
