Laser Photorejuvenation
Alexandrite Laser Photorejuvenation
The ageing process affects every level of the skin: the surface, deeper layer and the very deepest one. Over time, the skin becomes covered with wrinkles, freckles, damaged capillaries, sun or pigmentation signs, enlarged pores and uneven pigmentation. Skincare products, injections or lifting can help, but will not necessarily give you a natural look. Furthermore, some of the results achieved are only short-term. Lasers have been revolutionary in skin rejuvenation. They can work at any level of the skin, enabling them to achieve the best results. The laser removes all surface skin defects caused by ageing, improper skin care and excessive exposure to the sun. It improves skin elasticity. During the session, the laser reaches the muscular tissues and lifts the skin in a non-invasive manner.
Northway Medical Centre offers quick, painless and effective skin photorejuvenation using an Alexandrite laser. This laser is suitable for the treatment of skin on the face, around the shoulders, the lower neck, hands, and other areas of the body.
What does the procedure involve?
Alexandrite laser rejuvenation leaves the surface skin layer undamaged. The impulses directly affect the dermal fibroblasts, thus stimulating the production of collagen and elastin. The skin becomes smoother, tighter and brighter. After the session, you may experience redness or a burning sensation, but this will only last for a few hours.
Is the procedure painful?
A patented DCD cooling system cools the skin during the session and provides additional protection. You may experience a tingling sensation, but the procedure is painless.
How many sessions do I need?
Patients are advised to follow a course of 3 to 5 sessions to achieve maximal results, although visible results can be observed after the first session. It is advisable to have a session every 4–6 weeks.
