Vaccination against cervical cancer

Cervical cancer is the second most common form of cancer of women under 45 years old. It is proven that cervical cancer is caused by human papilloma virus (HPV) that usually is transmitted sexually.

Protection against cervical cancer:

- primary prevention - prophylactic vaccinations that protect against infection by eliminating its cause;
- secondary prevention - selective examination and treatment of pre-cancer states.
