Synovectomy

Pain may be caused by post-traumatic synovitis, i.e. formation of fluids and constant joint edema, or changes in the joint anatomy, when the bones knit together in a different way after the fracture, or a radius, which has shortened during the lifetime and caused changes in the entire joint anatomy, biomechanics, resulting in troubling everyday pain.

In the case of synovitis, synovectomy is performed to remove excess of tissue that produces fluid.
